Join us for our annual Beer and Wine festival amidst stunning vistas and formal gardens. Sample a dazzling variety of craft beers from local breweries while rocking out to live music.

Join us on the evening of Saturday, August 19, at Friendship Botanic Gardens for a Bacchus and Beer Festival!

Sample from 15 of our area's favorite breweries and wineries.

Up 'N Smoke will be on site to serve up their famous barbecue. Live entertainment throughout the evening, featuring Matt Gabriel and John Vermilye.

Enjoy the beautiful views of the Gardens and Lake Lucerne while watching the stars come out. Sample, sip, set, and sway to the music while contributing to Friendship Botanic Gardens.

This is a 21 and over event. We will offer free craft soda and water to those who are DDs.

Sunday August 13th, 3:00 - 6:00 PM Central

Friendship Botanic Gardens is proud to host to a special afternoon of world-class artistry from the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Join us among the scenic vistas of the Gardens for a preview of the Lyric Opera Company’s 2017-2018 season, performed by some of the biggest names in the Chicago arts and culture scene.

All proceeds contribute to the continued restoration and maintenance of Friendship Botanic Gardens, a historic 105 acre botanical park in Michigan City that serves as the region's premiere destination where nature meets culture.

3:00 Join us for Wine, Beer, Beverages and Light Appetizers and linger through the Gardens prior to the concert. The performance starts promptly at 4:00.

Regular seating available for $40.00.
Premium seating available for $50.00 (first 4 rows). Please note Premium Seating is limited to 40 people.

Light appetizers included with your ticket. A cash bar with beer, wine and beverages will be on site.

Johnzo West & The Wayward Souls

Join us for our First "Music Under the Stars" Concert!

Johnzo West is a singer, songwriter and guitarist born and raised in the great state of Indiana and currently based out of Los Angeles, California. Johnzo West has released two albums, a collection of mostly acoustic home recordings called “Bring On The Burden”, and the much more sonically expansive “Glory.”

He also played and sang on Miley Cyrus’ cover of Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” for Amnesty International’s “Chimes of Freedom” album.Cyrus and West shot a video with James Minchin lll that was #1 on both MTV and CMT and has been viewed over 11 million times on YouTube. The duo also performed on The Ellen Show and Jimmy Kimmel.

West is also the guitarist for L.A. based psych/rock band Fortress Social Club, and has recorded and toured with Billy Ray Cyrus, Ryan Beatty, Davey Allen and others.

Johnzo West will be performing with his band The Wayward Souls, including fellow Michigan City native Justin Andres, bassist.

A fun filled family friendly evening will be had by all…come and support the Gardens!
